API Key:

Upon registering for the Sentiment & Influence API service, you will be given a 36-digit Universally Unique Identifier (UUID). This key acts as your password for API access.

API Syntax:

For the purposes of all examples, we’ll use “00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000” as the API key. In your queries, replace 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000 with the API key given to you when you sign up.

Note, you will need to encode/escape characters and URLs. 

It’s important that the ? preceding the arguments comes AFTER the forward slash, and that the forward slash not be dropped off the URL or the question mark placed directly after it, such as ‘/sentiment?’

On failure, the response structure is:

The sentiment score will show a positive number (e.g. “25”) for positively scored sentiment, and a negative number (-33) for any negative sentiment. This number is not to a fixed scale, so an extremely negative sentiment could result as “-125” or greater.The influence score uses our InfluenceRank which is on a fixed scale of 0 to 100. The lower the number, the less influential a source; the higher the number, the more influential.
